Hendersonville, TN, September 10, 2009 -- Thirty years ago,
Joseph Merlo
founded a company called Energy Automation Systems Inc. (EASI). He started out
selling one product that conserved energy on AC electric motors. With what
seemed like a new energy crisis every decade, Joseph Merlo found reason to
expand his line, and his vision.
Today Joseph Merlo’s Energy Automation Systems, Inc. (EASI), boasts clients and affiliates in 60 countries. The popularity of Joseph Merlo’s method is partially based on the fact that his clients do not have to replace their current energy system or equipment. The EASI conservation technologies work with existing equipment, so savings begins immediately.
“Back in 1973, I believed energy conservation was going to be the way of the future,” said Joseph Merlo. He humbly admits, “I made a lucky guess, because in 1979 there was a second oil embargo and electricity costs began to sky-rocket; a trend which continues to this day with no end in sight.”
In recent years, Joseph Merlo rethought the EASI business model. To accommodate an ever-increasing demand for green energy efficiency, Joseph Merlo created a network of trained, licensed affiliates that provide EASI energy conservation solutions nationwide and the world over.
